Chief Operation Officer

Description

The Chief Operation Officer will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the company, ensuring effective operational support for all processes related to transactions, internal workflows, and the ongoing management of FinTech products. This includes internal coordination with product and tech teams, as well as collaboration with regulators, agents, partners, clients, and the broader FinTech infrastructure. The role also involves corporate governance, regulatory monitoring, financial oversight, risk management, AML & compliance, partnership management, team leadership, and account management.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring effective operational support for all processes related to transactions, internal workflows, and the ongoing management of FinTech products. This encompasses internal coordination with product and tech teams, as well as collaboration with the regulators, agents, partners, clients, and the broader FinTech infrastructure.
  • Corporate Governance & Regulatory Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring full compliance
  • Conducting systematic reviews of legislative changes and status updates
  • Timely renewal and maintenance of corporate structures, including compliance with substance requirements
  • Evaluating licensing opportunities and assessing associated risks
  • Financial, Treasury & Liquidity Oversight Managing and forecasting fiat and crypto flows across all products and legal entities
  • Ensuring sufficient liquidity to support operational needs and client demands
  • Regular monitoring of pricing accuracy and transaction fees for both crypto and fiat operations
  • Generating financial insights by product to assess profitability, cost efficiency, and unit economics
  • Analyzing performance data to adjust operational plans and KPIs as needed
  • Risk Management Identifying and evaluating operational and compliance risks
  • Prioritizing risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • AML & Compliance Overseeing AML governance and internal compliance procedures
  • Opening and maintaining corporate accounts
  • Updating internal policies to reflect evolving regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining active oversight of relationships with KYC/AML providers
  • Partnerships/3rd Parties Interaction with existing providers, as well as identifying and establishing arrangements with new ones to meet business needs and resolve any operational issues arising during cooperation.
  • Team Management & Cross-functional Collaboration Coordinating closely with all departments to support seamless product operations
  • Identifying and resolving operational blockers
  • Setting clear KPIs for the team and ensuring timely execution and accountability
  • Accounts Management Manage customer accounts, including registration and verification (KYC/AML).
  • Update and maintain customer profiles, control user access rights and permissions, conduct customer analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer data, manage integrations with CRM systems (if required) and payment systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field is minimum; an MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in FinTech, 1-3 years of C-level position with a track record of improving operational efficiency.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking: Driving day-to-day operations and translating strategy into actionable plans.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify market trends, and make decisions about the product's operation.
  • Data analysis: Proficiency in using data from performance metrics and market research to inform product decisions.
  • Business and market knowledge: Understanding business economics, pricing strategies, competitive landscapes, and go-to-market plans.
  • Strong personal network
  • Experience in crypto and web3.0 projects
