Senior Technical Artist
The role of a Technical Artist is to act as a link between creative and engineering teams in game development. A Technical Artist needs to integrate art assets into the game without taking away either the artistic vision or going beyond the technical limits of the platform. The person will be responsible for ensuring high-quality standards of games and being delivered on time. We’re looking for a Sr Technical Artist role to develop/update artwork and animation for gaming projects. Able to focus on Content implementation pipeline, handle time efficiently, close tracking, raise dependencies proactively, and deliver assets on time to specification with thorough and complete attention to detail. Ensuring relevant processes in regard to asset management, file organization, and output configuration are clearly and correctly implemented. Help in peer reviews, Game Documentation as per business needs, and Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to achieve the highest quality games possible. We put a strong emphasis on individual ownership and value TAs who take pride in working over the full lifecycle of a project independently.
- Responsible for having peer reviews to check work for accuracy and quality
- Must have strong experience in Adobe products (After Effects and Photoshop) (required)
- Proven understanding of 2D Graphics (required)
- Understanding of animation principles will be a plus (preferred)
- Good knowledge of any scripting language to automate Artist tools such as After Effects plug-in will be a plus (preferred)
- Experience in using Asset control systems (Perforce), SVN/Github, and Microsoft Office Suite (required)
- Knowledge of ExtendScript or any other language is considered an asset (preferred)
- Prior experience in the casino gaming industry is helpful (preferred)
- Careful observation skills and willingness to follow technical/compliance specifications (required)
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively harmonize with global collaborators (required)
