AV Engineer / Audio Visual & Broadcast Engineer

- Participate in studio build by installing and testing dedicated equipment
- Maintaining equipment for audio - video production, broadcast, and signage and media display
- Setting up and monitoring audio-visual links between units
- Quickly identify and repair technical faults on equipment and systems, implementing alternative methods of service provision if possible to minimize interruptions
- Setting up, operating equipment and transmission links during live broadcasts
- Install custom audio-visual circuits (low power, data, video and audio cabling)
- Assembly hardware systems
- Use awareness in health and work safety procedures
- Interpreting and implementing instructions and requests from all departments, colleagues and representatives
- Communicating effectively with members of the team and other colleagues
- Keeping up to date with the industry and changes in technology by building and maintaining a network of contacts and investigating new systems and techniques
- Advanced knowledge of photography concepts like aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed, exposure, and camera lenses
- Experience in electronic engineering and using communication and broadcast equipment
- Advanced knowledge of operating a video camera
- Advanced knowledge of production video switchers
- Experience with live chroma keying
- Advanced understanding of SDI, HDMI, Network and different types of AV infrastructure
- Excellent IT and Production Management skills
- Fault-finding skills and the capacity to solve technical problems creatively
- Excellent attention to detail
