Intern, Internal Audit
This internship offers a comprehensive, first-hand view of the internal audit function within a large-scale tech company. The intern will support the internal audit team across IT and operational/business domains, assisting in maintaining audit methodologies and enhancing the company's approach to product security and compliance. The role is designed for an eager learner who is excited to understand how a global tech company secures its environment and optimises its business processes, contributing to the safety, compliance, and quality of products and operations.
- Support the team during various audits, learning how compliance with financial regulations (e.g., MiCAR and DORA) and general internal control frameworks is evaluated.
- Gain insights into both technical areas (like cloud service providers) and operational business units.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation to align on regulatory requirements, ensure the effectiveness of controls, and promote a culture of compliance.
- Help draft high-quality audit documentation and reports for review by audit management.
- Assist in tracking open audit findings across the company, validating remediation actions, and supporting the preparation of quarterly and annual management reporting.
- Participate in internal and external audits with the collaboration of various stakeholders.
- Current student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Law, or a related field. (required)
- An interest in pursuing future industry certifications. (preferred)
- Previous experience in Internal Audit is a plus. (preferred)
- Strong interest in crypto, finance, and how tech-driven companies operate. (required)
- Initial theoretical knowledge or a keen interest in business processes, internal controls, internal audit or IT infrastructure is highly valued. (preferred)
- Good interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate within a multicultural, fast-paced team. (required)
- Fluent in both written and spoken English. (required)
- Proficiency in German is a strong asset. (preferred)
- Self-driven, highly organised, and possess strong analytical skills. (required)
