Nowadays, we're on the hunt for a dynamic and structured Product Owner for our Protect (Compliance) team! As a Product Owner within the Product Management Department, you will play a critical operational role in delivering the Protect Team roadmap. Working under the strategic direction of the Product Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure our products comply with regulatory requirements while prioritising player safety. You will translate roadmap initiatives into clearly defined, prioritised, and actionable work for the development team. You will own the team backlog, ensure sprint readiness, and drive day-to-day execution to deliver value efficiently and predictably. Whilst the Product Manager focuses on strategy, vision, stakeholder alignment, and long-term roadmap, you will ensure that delivery is structured, prioritised, and aligned with those strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to align on product strategy, goals, and key initiatives.
  • Translate high-level roadmap initiatives and business requirements into detailed user stories with clear goals and success criteria.
  • Ensure features are well-defined, technically feasible, and delivered to agreed timelines and meet the expectations.
  • Prioritise backlog items to optimise delivery of compliance features and maximise value, ensuring alignment with strategic focus areas.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the development team on day-to-day product queries and clarifications. Work with cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Design and Brand) to clarify details and implement solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective execution.
  • Owns prioritisation of both feature development and technical improvement initiatives to ensure sustainable delivery and product quality.
  • Provide regular updates on delivery progress, risks, and dependencies to the Product Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops and refinement sessions to clarify requirements and align on scope.
  • Ensure transparency around backlog priorities and sprint commitments across Acquisition and Retention initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Compliance domain
  • Experience working with Agile development teams and managing backlogs
  • Strong technical literacy, with the ability to read and interpret API and technical documentation, understand architectural trade-offs, anticipate delivery risks, and communicate effectively with engineering teams
  • Ability to balance technical feasibility, regulatory compliance requirements, and business priorities when making execution-level decisions
  • Solid communication and leadership skills
  • Proven stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working with Responsible Gambling/Risk & Fraud/AML tools is great plus
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., KYC, GDPR, AML, responsible gaming).
  • Product ownership certification (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent).
  • Experience in the iGaming, eCommerce, Payments or similar online products
