Customer Support Intern
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Customer Support Intern to join our team. Your primary focus will be maintaining the quality and integrity of our platform by moderating user-generated content. You will act as the first line of defense against spam, plagiarism, and inappropriate content, ensuring our community remains a helpful and safe space. When review volumes are low, you will also have the opportunity to learn the ropes of direct customer service by assisting with user support emails.
- Manually review incoming user reviews to ensure they meet our quality standards before publication.
- Investigate submissions to ensure content is original.
- Identify and reject plagiarized content copied from other websites.
- Identify and reject duplicate content (e.g., the same review posted multiple times by one user).
- Identify and reject reviews copied from other users on our platform.
- Screen reviews for spam, profanity, hate speech, or content that violates our community standards.
- Apply our posting guidelines strictly but fairly to ensure all live content is relevant and helpful.
- Assist the support team during quieter moderation periods.
- Respond to basic user inquiries via email regarding account issues or moderation decisions.
- Categorize and tag user feedback to help us improve our services.
- You have a strong grasp of grammar and spelling (fluency in English is required).
- You can spot a copy-pasted review or a subtle policy violation quickly.
- You can differentiate between a critical review (which is allowed) and an abusive one (which is not).
- You are comfortable learning new software tools and navigating admin dashboards.
- You can work efficiently and stay focused on targets without constant supervision.
- Students or recent University graduates with no previous work experience.
