Assistant General Counsel
Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our Legal team in Las Vegas. This role will serve as a trusted legal advisor across the business, supporting a wide range of commercial, fintech, regulatory, and employment-related matters. The ideal candidate will bring strong business judgment, exceptional contract negotiation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial, technology, vendor, and strategic partnership agreements
- Support the company’s fintech business area and advise on related legal and regulatory matters
- Provide legal guidance on labor and employment issues, litigation support, and risk mitigation strategies
- Manage vendor contracting workflows and partner closely with cross-functional business teams
- Assist with regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and transactional matters including due diligence and document negotiation
- Manage outside counsel and support pre-litigation and litigation activities as needed
- Research and analyze complex legal issues and provide practical recommendations to leadership
- Mentor and support a direct report while collaborating with a broader legal team
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- 8+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house legal experience
- Strong background in commercial contracting, technology transactions, and business counseling
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements, including software licensing and hosted services agreements
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a practical and solutions-oriented way
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
- Fintech, gaming, or highly regulated industry experience is a plus
