Desktop Systems Specialist I

Description

You serve as the first line of assistance and support for the company's internal and external IT demands. This involves solving technical issues, providing support for software and hardware, and maintaining a smooth and efficient IT environment. You are a team player with some experience in supporting an enterprise environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This entry-level role will suit an individual with strong technical expertise, has good communication skills, and enjoys solving problems. This is an onsite 5 days in office role where you will support the Australia offices (travel to multiple sites) and the APAC region.

Responsibilities
  • End-user and desktop support - Provide level 1-2 support face-to-face or remotely, troubleshoot problems and resolve incidents and service requests within SLA and ITIL guidelines.
  • Hardware support - Install and configure IT equipment, perform hadware replacements, upgrades and warranty coordination. May also involve basic support for network in office.
  • AV and meeting room support - Support MS teams rooms and teleconferencing systems, assist with AV setup, coordinate townhalls, boardrooms and presentation spaces
  • Software, OS and MS365 support - Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and common business applications, resolove Outlook profile issues, add-ins, connectivity and licensing problems. Support to install specific programs and adjust settings for optimal use.
  • Asset tracking and documentation - Track IT assets and maintain and IT asset registers. Follow ITIL proceeses for tickets and document resolutions and FAQs.
  • Basic network and connectivity - Troubleshoot LAN.Wif-Fi and VPN access problems and perform basic network checks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or relevant equivalent experience
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in an IT support role at a large enterprise organisation
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service handling incidents through to resolution
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical jargon into simple langugae for non-technical users, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure during P1/S1 incidents
  • Willingness and ability to travel to different company premises as required
