Legal Counsel II
We are seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our Corporate Support legal team in Manchester, UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, technology-driven gaming business, supporting a broad range of commercial and data protection matters across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong academic credentials, UK solicitor qualification, and experience providing practical legal guidance in either an in-house environment or private practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders while developing expertise in a fast-paced and evolving business.
- Draft, review, negotiate and interpret a wide variety of B2B contracts with customers and partners in the EMEA and APAC regions for commercial gaming customers including the sale of hardware, software systems and related products and services.
- Provide legal support to IGT’s cash collection team.
- Provide transactional drafting support and advice to Gaming sales operations team.
- Identify and advise internal clients on legal risks, mitigation, pre-litigation disputes and resolving a wide variety of issues that arise in existing commercial relationships.
- Assist in the management of external legal counsel.
- Support other departments within the IGT Legal Team including Data Privacy and Subsidiary Maintenance.
- Contribute to global legal team projects and strategic objectives.
- Qualified Solicitor in the UK
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced legal degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of professional work experience, including at least 2 years of relevant legal experience
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
- Knowledge of UK and/or EU data protection laws and regulations
- Ability to effectively manage relationships with internal clients and stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide business-focused legal guidance
- Experience within a technology-focused organization or gaming industry is a plus
- Prior in-house legal experience preferred
