Inventory Controller
As an Inventory Controller, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of inventory operations. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, overseeing storage and movement of goods and supporting the wider supply chain and warehouse teams. Your work helps ensure our products reach customers efficiently and reliably.
- Maintain accurate and efficient stock levels across the Ashby depot
- Monitor product availability to ensure operational readiness
- Manage depot capacity to avoid overstocking or stock shortages
- Conduct regular physical stock counts
- Identify and investigate discrepancies
- Implement corrective actions to keep records accurate and compliant
- Use inventory management software to track all stock movement
- Process incoming and outgoing products
- Maintain up‑to‑date and compliant record logs
- Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely dispatch
- Ensure products are stored correctly and securely
- Support warehouse staff with stock processes
- Train colleagues on inventory systems and procedures
- Promote and uphold best practice across supply chain workflows
- Excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) — training provided
- Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy levels
- Analytical skills to interpret data and support decision‑making
- Ability to manage competing priorities such as audits, reporting and logistics
- Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in inventory control, warehousing or supply chain
