HR Operations Partner

Description

We’re looking for an HR Operations Partner to join our People function and play a pivotal role in how HR services are delivered across the organisation. This is a senior, hands-on role at the heart of HR Operations, where you’ll lead shared-services delivery, drive our HR systems and data integrity, and help shape how HR scales globally. You’ll work closely with HR colleagues, managers, and cross-functional partners across multiple geographies, acting as a trusted operational expert and escalation point. Alongside day-to-day delivery, you’ll drive continuous improvement, support global alignment, and contribute to HR digital transformation, including automation and AI-enabled solutions. This role is ideal for someone who has operated within, or helped evolve, a shared-services HR operating model and understands what “good” looks like in high-volume, high-accuracy HR operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of HR Operations, ensuring services are consistent, accurate, and delivered to a high standard.
  • Own shared-services HR delivery across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, employee data updates, documentation, leavers, and offboarding.
  • Act as the Tier 2 / Tier 3 escalation point for complex employee and manager queries, providing confident, pragmatic operational guidance.
  • Ensure HR transactions are completed accurately, on time, and in line with defined controls and expectations.
  • Draft, review, and quality-check employment letters, contractual documentation, policies, and formal HR communications.
  • Support the creation and ongoing improvement of HR playbooks, knowledge articles, and service documentation.
  • Own HRIS administration from an HR Operations service-delivery perspective, including data quality, workflows, reporting, and audits.
  • Perform regular data audits, reconciliations, and quality assurance reviews to maintain high data integrity.
  • Deliver meaningful HR reporting and analytics (e.g. headcount, attrition, absence, compliance), using insight to drive operational improvement.
  • Translate HR operational needs into clear requirements to inform HRIS and IT-led solutions.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and continuously optimise system performance and adoption.
  • Design, document, and optimise end-to-end HR operational processes within a shared-services model.
  • Drive process improvements that streamline delivery, increase scalability, and strengthen compliance across geographies.
  • Implement SOPs and standardised workflows across HR, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Contribute to the HR Operations roadmap, supporting harmonisation, standardisation, and service maturity.
  • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies that impact service quality or resilience.
  • Identify and champion opportunities for automation and AI-enabled solutions from an HR Operations and employee experience perspective, partnering with HRIS and IT for delivery.
  • Support the rollout and optimisation of employee and manager self-service tools.
  • Partner with HRIS, IT, and People leaders to ensure AI is used responsibly, compliantly, and effectively.
  • Champion data-led, technology-enabled ways of working across HR Operations.
  • Support compliance with employment law, GDPR, internal policies, and audit controls.
  • Strengthen practices around right-to-work checks, employment documentation, data privacy, and internal controls.
  • Research and apply relevant legal and regulatory frameworks across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Support audits, risk reviews, and compliance programmes with clear documentation and evidence trails.
  • Build strong working relationships with global HR teams and internal stakeholders, ensuring responsiveness and transparency.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver joined-up HR services.
  • Manage ad-hoc HR projects including policy development, policy updates, and global HR initiatives.
Requirements
  • 5–8+ years’ experience in HR Operations and/or HR Shared Services, with ownership of end-to-end service delivery.
  • Proven experience working within, or helping to build, a shared-services HR operating model.
  • Strong practical knowledge of employment law and HR operational governance.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar.
  • Experience owning HR data quality, reporting, audits, and operational controls.
  • Experience partnering with Payroll and Finance (without owning payroll processing).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn insight into improvement.
  • Confidence handling complex or sensitive operational matters with professionalism and sound judgement.
Benefits
