Junior GL Accountant Napoleon

Description

As our business grows, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior GL Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, modern environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and control of the general ledger under the guidance of senior colleagues.
  • Assist in preparing month-end closing tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Help calculate and record basic depreciation and accruals.
  • Support the preparation of reports for regulatory bodies and internal management.
  • Stay updated on Belgian accounting laws (BE-GAAP) and tax regulations.
  • Assist with various operational tasks within the accounting and finance department as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy-Taxation, Economics, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience in accounting; internship experience is a plus.
  • Experience with office tools (e.g., Google Workspace and MS Office), including knowledge of pivot tables.
  • Experience with Business Central is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is highly preferred for the Belgian market.
  • A proactive team player with a collaborative spirit and a strong desire to learn.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • A strong sense of responsibility with respect for deadlines and the ability to deliver on time.
