Senior Technical Artist (Generalist)

Description

As a Senior Technical Artist within Level Infinite’s internal creative studio, you are the critical bridge between artistic vision and technical execution. You will design and implement the technical foundations that allow our artists to deliver world-class cinematics and marketing content across a diverse portfolio of AAA titles. You are a generalist problem-solver, comfortable navigating Unreal Engine 5 as well as various proprietary game engines to ensure high-fidelity visual assets are production-ready, scalable, and efficiently integrated across all projects. This role will support a rare combination of traditional pre-rendered workflows and cutting-edge Realtime technologies. An ideal candidate will be someone with a background in Cinematics or CGI moving content.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient, high-performance art pipelines across Unreal Engine 5 and proprietary engines
  • Develop custom procedural tools and scripts (Python, Blueprints, Houdini) to automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual workload for the ICC artists
  • Profile and optimize performance for both real-time and pre-rendered workflows, ensuring visual assets meet high-fidelity benchmarks for trailers and key art
  • Author shader networks and material functions that execute on the creative vision of our projects across different engine environments
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving by addressing technical bottlenecks and issues with incomplete, buggy, or non-standardized game assets
  • Act as the primary technical contact between internal artists, studios and external vendors to solve complex integration problems
  • Document progress and findings regularly and add to the growing knowledge base of the team
  • Appraise, rig, construct and consult on a variety of game assets to help both the team’s output and Studio production
  • Nurture an interest in simulations like coth sims, water and destruction
Requirements
  • +6 years of technical art experience in Games with a history of shipping high-profile titles.
  • A demonstrable "artistic eye" for detail and high-quality production, ensuring technical solutions never compromise aesthetic goals.
  • Deep proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 (Sequencer, lighting, animation, and cameras).
  • Strong knowledge of proprietary engines and the ability to adapt to new technical environments quickly.
  • Experience in 3D Character Art pipelines, including modelling, texturing, and grooming
  • Strong scripting proficiency in Python, Blueprints, or C#.
  • Exceptional creative problem-solving skills, particularly in addressing complex technical bottlenecks in shifting production environments.
  • Mature, selfless and capable of giving and receiving feedback with professional grace.
  • A deep affinity for video games, film, and the pursuit of technical excellence.
