Manager, Casino Engagement
The Manager, Casino Engagement leads the strategy, operational execution, and performance of BetMGM’s Free‑to‑Play and engagement‑driven casino experiences. Reporting to our Sr. Manager, Gaming Experience, this role oversees the creation and evolution of mechanics such as F2P games, quests, challenges, tournaments, and gamified cross‑sell journeys designed to boost retention and deepen player entertainment. It also serves as a key source of competitive intelligence, tracking engagement tools across the iGaming landscape to inform our roadmap and ensure BetMGM stays differentiated. This role is partially remote with some in person days required in our Toronto, Ontario office.
- Develop and guide the roadmap for Free‑to‑Play and other engagement experiences.
- Align initiatives with business goals, player needs, and market trends.
- Maintain awareness of competitor engagement approaches and industry developments, using insights to inform planning.
- Contribute to the concepting and refinement of F2P and engagement mechanics, ensuring clarity, polish, and player enjoyment.
- Collaborate with creative, product teams, and external game studios on experience quality and execution.
- Lead cross‑functional coordination to deliver engagement initiatives on time and to spec, overseeing timelines, approvals, feasibility assessments, and resourcing.
- Direct the Senior Associate in coordinating on setup, campaign management, QA, configuration changes, and compliance reviews.
- Monitor performance metrics for engagement activations, surfacing insights and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with Analytics to refine strategy and enhance overall program effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary liaison to Product, Content, Marketing, Creative, VIP, and Analytics teams.
- Ensure engagement initiatives align with communications, promotional calendars, and product plans.
- Collaborate with internal and supplier Product and Technology teams to communicate requirements, assess feasibility, and support capability evolution across internal and external platforms.
- Set priorities, review execution quality, and support professional development.
- Communicate progress, insights, and recommendations to leadership and key partners through clear briefs, presentations, and recaps.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for engagement and gamification initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience in iGaming, digital entertainment, product, CRM, or similar engagement‑focused roles, ideally with exposure to interactive or gamified experiences.
- Strong understanding of casino player behavior, retention drivers, and regulated U.S./Canadian markets, with the ability to apply insights to engagement planning.
- Ability to concept and refine player experiences, collaborating effectively with creative teams, product partners, and external game studios.
- Comfortable working as a strategic stakeholder to Product and Technology, contributing requirements, evaluating feasibility, and supporting capability evolution across internal and vendor platforms.
- Proven success operating in cross‑functional environments (product, CRM, marketing, creative, analytics, compliance, suppliers) and driving alignment across teams.
- Skilled in data interpretation, KPI analysis, and turning insights into clear recommendations and iterative improvements.
- Strong project leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing multi‑stakeholder initiatives from concept to launch, including QA, timelines, approvals, and workflow tools (e.g., Workfront).
- Strong computer proficiency, including advanced use of Excel for analysis and reporting, and familiarity with wireframing and/or visual design tools to communicate experience concepts.
- Solid understanding of iGaming regulatory considerations relevant to promotions, F2P experiences, and player‑facing mechanics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear briefs, presenting recommendations, and collaborating with both creative and technical partners.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- Demonstrated curiosity and creativity, with a passion for player engagement, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

- The compensation for this position is expected to be in the range of $96000 to $120000 including salary, bonus, vacation pay, and statutory entitlements.
- This position is eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.
