Manual QA Engineer

Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and scalability of our core platform components, actively contributing to our testing processes for complex architectural features and integrations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end manual testing of the core platform features, APIs, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with the team to evolve and implement changes to the overall platform test strategy.
  • Investigate and localize issues, working closely with devtools, logs and databases.
  • Manage defects in the bug-tracking system and oversee them through the entire lifecycle.
  • Support release process.
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, DevOps, Product) to identify risks and improve product quality at early stages.
  • Mentor junior/middle QA engineers and contribute to QA process improvements within the platform team.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in software testing.
  • Mandatory experience in backend testing and a deep understanding of client-server architecture.
  • Strong experience in API testing (REST, JSON) using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar.
  • Solid SQL knowledge (ability to write complex queries, joins, and work with databases directly).
  • Experience in defining the scope of testing, maintaining test documentation (Test Plans, Test Cases, Checklists).
  • Experience in contributing to and evolving existing test strategies, as well as implementing process improvements.
  • Advanced analytical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a scientific approach to problem-solving (e.g., reading logs, analyzing network traffic).
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with developers, architects, and product managers.
  • Intermediate+ / Upper-Intermediate level of English (both verbal and written).
