Sports Data Quality Operators: Basketball
Description
As a Sports Data Quality Operators: Basketball, you will review and quality-check match data in non-live environments, identifying and correcting play-by-play sequencing and data errors. You will analyze recorded match video, tag basketball actions, and work with internal tools, collaborating with supervisors on issues and improvements. This role is an entry-level position with a Service Provider contract, fully remote in Colombia.
Responsibilities
- Review and quality-check match data in non-live environments
- Identify and correct play-by-play sequencing and data errors
- Analyze recorded match video
- Tag basketball actions
- Work with internal tools
- Collaborate with supervisors on issues and improvements
Requirements
- Strong passion and knowledge of basketball
- Experience playing or coaching at a competitive, amateur or semi-professional level
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy and efficiency
- Good understanding of game rules, terminology, and match flow
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
- Strong English communication and solid computer skills
- Good understanding of the current landscape and recent past of major professional basketball leagues
- Hands-on experience with sports data entry, play-by-play QA, or tracking systems (bonus)
- Prior work in live operations, game supervision, or quality assurance (bonus)
- Comfort with basic reporting/dashboards (e.g., spreadsheets) to share findings and trends (bonus)
- Access to personal laptop or computer (2019 model and after)
- Personal laptop/computer with 512GB hard drive
- Internet download/upload speed minimums: 50 download /10 upload
- Willingness to work weekends and nights
