Head of Payment Product
This role exists to define and drive the overall product vision, strategy, and performance of the payment product portfolio. You’ll lead product direction, teams, and decision-making to ensure alignment with company strategy, financial goals, and customer needs.
- Set the product vision and overall product strategy in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Ensure alignment between product strategy, company goals, and long-term vision.
- Define development direction for major products and the company overall.
- Plan product development horizons for 12–24 months.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch and retirement.
- Create and launch new major products, including cross-functional initiatives involving multiple departments.
- Optimize product portfolio performance and return on investment.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to product development and market changes.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities.
- Define and communicate product positioning and differentiation.
- Act as a customer advocate and incorporate customer feedback into product decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and regulators.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the product management function.
- Manage product managers and leads; hire, grow, or restructure teams as needed.
- Allocate resources, set priorities, and balance responsibilities across teams and departments.
- Identify organizational gaps and take ownership of resolving them.
- Collaborate with C-level executives and key stakeholders across the company.
- Ensure effective collaboration between product and other functions.
- Resolve cross-department challenges and balance ownership areas.
- Initiate and implement cultural and structural changes where needed.
- Provide regular reporting on product performance and key metrics.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, including 2+ years as a Lead Product Manager.
- Proven experience defining company-level product metrics and ownership across teams.
- Experience ensuring sustained growth of product metrics through launches and operational excellence.
- Ability to define long-term product vision and development plans (12–24 months).
- Experience contributing to company strategy together with other directors.
- Strong ownership of resource balance, risks, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Proven people leadership experience, including managing multiple PMs and developing senior leaders.
