Senior Android Developer for Sport Team
This role exists to build and scale a high-quality Android experience for our core products. You’ll help us deliver fast, stable, and secure mobile solutions by owning architecture decisions, improving system resilience, and driving engineering excellence across the Android domain.
- Own Android architecture decisions and long-term technical direction.
- Improve app performance, stability, and scalability.
- Drive adoption of modern Android practices (Compose, Coroutines, clean architecture).
- Identify and reduce technical debt in critical areas.
- Define and track key engineering quality metrics.
- Translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Evaluate trade-offs between speed, quality, and complexity.
- Validate architecture approaches through prototypes and experiments.
- Contribute to system design across mobile and backend boundaries.
- Build and ship high-quality features end-to-end.
- Optimize networking, storage, and app performance.
- Ensure reliable background processing and lifecycle handling.
- Maintain clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Improve CI/CD and release processes.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams.
- Align on API contracts and system behavior.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to engineering culture and standards.
- Mentor junior and middle engineers.
- Lead code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Raise the bar for engineering quality and ownership.
- Help scale team practices as the product grows.
- Strong experience with Android development (Kotlin).
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, app lifecycle, and system behavior.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with modern Android stack (Coroutines, Flow).
- Solid understanding of architecture patterns (MVVM / MVI / Clean Architecture).
- Experience with networking (Retrofit, OkHttp) and API design.
- Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
- Experience with large-scale or high-load mobile apps.
- Knowledge of security best practices (auth, encryption, data protection).
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with backend or cloud architecture.
- Experience with WebSocket or real-time data handling.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading initiatives.
