Human Resources Business Partner
This role serves as a Human Resources Business Partner for Tencent Cloud business lines across the Americas, including the United States and Brazil. It provides localised support and ensures alignment with global and regional HR strategies. The position involves acting as a trusted advisor, offering insights on business decisions from a human capital perspective, including talent management, performance management, workforce strategy, and employee engagement & retention. Collaboration with business leaders on people matters with short-, medium-, or long-term effects is key. The role also involves identifying opportunities for resource sharing, ensuring compliance in workforce decisions, and mediating between regional/local and HQ decisions to align expectations. Leading and managing cross-functional HR projects and promoting strategic alignment and project execution are also responsibilities. The role requires the ability to operate in ambiguous scopes, define and create value where frameworks do not yet exist, and drive change with self-direction and initiative. Navigating cross-cultural stakeholder management and regional diversity is essential.
- Act as Human Resources Business Partner to the Tencent Cloud business lines across Americas, including United States and Brazil, providing localised support and ensuring alignment with global and regional HR strategies.
- Being a trusted advisor to provide insights on business decisions from a human capital perspective which includes but not limited to talent management, performance management, workforce strategy, employee engagement & retention.
- Collaborate closely with the business leaders on people matters which may have short-, medium- or long-term effects on the business.
- Identify opportunities for resource sharing and ensuring compliance in workforce decisions
- Driving and helping to connect the dots between regional/local decisions in contrast with HQ decisions, to mediate and align expectations across all parties
- Lead and manage cross-functional HR projects and collaborate with other BPs to promote strategic alignment and project execution.
- 3-5 years of HR experience, either as consultant, Human Resources Business Partner, HR function specialist, or recruitment is welcome. (required)
- Strong regional exposure across Americas, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills and business acumen (required)
- Someone who is positive, possess a can-do attitude and can navigate in highly matrixed and ambiguous environments (required)
- Strong people skillsets and able to build relationships across all levels of staff, be culturally sensitive and adaptable to different people styles (required)
- Strong learning agility, with good ability to bounce back and quickly learn from past experiences, improve, and adapt (required)
- Multi-lingual abilities (English/Chinese/Português) will be considered a competitive edge as it will be required to deal with employees locally (preferred)
- Be willing to be based in Shenzhen for the first 3-6 months of employment to get on board and integrate into the team. (required)
